"Párizsi Anziksz" - Czóbel Béla (1883-1976.) Hungarian. View of a Parisian street, circa 1960. A simple but highly effective picture. The reflections of the store fronts on the wet street work brilliantly just smudged in there with some deceptively simple brushstrokes. There are some great 20th Century Hungarian painters and others will be explored on here in greater depth in the future.
